Disney Internship

 This past week has been quite exciting. I have officially completed all of my training, so I can officially work on my own without a trainer. I have been working roughly 35 hours each week. I did find out that the minimum someone has to be scheduled is 30 hours. So I have began picking up shifts so I can work 6 days and get around 35-37 hours each week.  I picked up a shift at the World of Disney. For those unaware, it is a huge Disney store located in Disney Springs. Disney Springs is similar to the Lake George Outlets, but it is like 5 times larger and packed. It is really a beautiful place. I did not realize how busy the World of Disney would be compared to the resort I normally work at. It was definitely an experience. It was enjoyable though. The shift went by super fast.  I also applied for an extension to work at the Hilton Head Resort. Hopefully I get that position.  This week is just an introduction week. There are a series of 3 classes I had to take. The first class was Making the Most of your program. It just a brief introduction to the program and what it would entail. The next class was called Traditions. This class is where you learn all about the Disney company and what it has to offer. It was absolutely crazy learning about the other companies that Disney owns and operates. The third and final class is called Bringing the Magic to Life. This just consisted of procedures and safety related to the Walt Disney Company.  Primarily this week, I have just been exploring the area and meeting new people. My friend Kennedy and I went to Disney Springs and used our wonderful employee discount at the different stores. Luckily down here the weather has been in the seventies, compared to the negative temperatures back home.
